What Is Myofunctional Therapy?

Myofunctional Therapy is neuromuscular training for the muscles in the face, mouth, lips, and tongue — essentially therapy from the neck up. It helps re-program the brain and change your default patterns so that the orofacial muscles work in harmony, function properly, and rest in the correct position.

Short daily myofunctional exercises are designed to establish proper nasal breathing, correct tongue posture, create a lip seal, and establish proper swallowing. The goal: better health, reduced pain, improved breathing, and an enhanced quality of life.

There is a window with daylight, cream-colored curtains, a wooden chair, and a light wooden dresser with books and decor. Soft, natural lighting creates a warm ambiance.
